According to the retailer's data, nearly half of Sephora shoppers place same-day delivery in their top three delivery methods. In September 2020, Sephora began offering same-day delivery via the Instacart platform in as fast as an hour from nearly all Sephora store locations across North America.
Building on the success of Instacart, Sephora is launching its own same-day delivery for purchases to customers nationwide. Upon landing on the product detail page on Sephora.com or the Sephora mobile app, a shopper may select "same-day delivery" as the preferred delivery method, input their zip code, and then add the desired product to the cart.
For a flat fee of $6.95, a courier will retrieve the order from a nearby Sephora store and deliver it directly. Same-day delivery is available seven days a week in most major cities and suburbs for all orders placed before 4pm local time. Orders placed after 4pm will be delivered the next day.
The new same-day service supplements alternative in-store purchase methods, including buying online / picking up in-store and curbside pickup, that have become commonplace in our post-pandemic world.
Sephora also revived its Home Chat shopping advisory tool. Relaunching it as Live Beauty Help elevates the traditional chat experience by connecting guests directly with a live beauty advisor who can help with product selection and application on Sephora.com or on the Sephora app.
